Being born again, being born anew, is not an unfamiliar concept to Christians. The renewing power of God's love is powerful, but it can also be mysterious and confounding. In Jesus' conversation in John 3:1-17, the religious leader Nicodemus is confused about what it means that a person could be born anew. At worship this Sunday, we will reflect on God's love that renews and transforms, and can even be confounding.
